Brass Fittings & Manifolds

Compression & press fittings and underfloor-heating manifolds

  • H59 brass bodies — corrosion-resistant, high strength
  • Compression and press types for serviceable or concealed runs
  • Forged manifolds with balancing valves — 2–8 circuit zoning
  • Leak-tight NBR/EPDM seals, matched to our multilayer pipe
Brass Fittings & Manifolds

The brass components that complete a piping system: compression and press fittings to join PEX-AL-PEX multilayer pipe to threaded ports and to each other, and forged-brass underfloor-heating manifolds (2 to 8 circuits) that split and balance flow between loops for zoned temperature control. Bodies are H59 brass with NBR/EPDM seals and 304 stainless press sleeves — compression fittings PN16 to 110 °C, press fittings PN10 to 95 °C, manifolds PN6 — matched to our multilayer pipe sizes.

Installation

How to install brass fittings and manifolds

  1. Match size and type

Choose the fitting for the pipe OD (16/20) and the joint type — compression where the joint stays accessible, press for concealed runs.

  2. Prepare the pipe end

Cut squarely, deburr, and check the pipe is round; for press fittings slide the stainless sleeve on before expanding.

  3. Assemble

Insert the fitting body into the pipe; for compression, hand-tighten the nut; for press, position the tool jaw on the sleeve.

  4. Crimp or tighten

Compress the sleeve with the battery tool until the jaw closes, or tighten the compression nut to the specified turn.

  5. Mount and test the manifold

Fix the forged-brass manifold to the cabinet, connect loops to the flow-metered outlets, set the balancing valves, then pressure-test.

FAQ

Buyer FAQ

Compression vs press fittings?
Compression fittings are hand-tightened with a spanner, are demountable and serviceable — good where joints stay accessible. Press fittings use a 304 stainless sleeve crimped with a battery tool — faster on site and the preferred choice for concealed/embedded runs. Both fit PEX-AL-PEX multilayer pipe.
How many circuits per manifold?
Our forged-brass manifolds come in 2 to 8 ways on a 1″ main bar, each port with a flow-balancing valve so every underfloor loop can be regulated and zoned. Larger floors use more ways or several manifolds combined.
Pressure and temperature ratings?
Compression fittings PN16 up to 110 °C, press fittings PN10 up to 95 °C, and manifolds PN6 for +5…+75 °C underfloor circuits. Standard body is H59 brass; manifold bar is forged. Ratings are matched to the multilayer pipe they join.
