For a distributor or a heating-brand owner in Russia, Kazakhstan or Uzbekistan, “OEM” means one thing: product made on someone else's line but carrying your name, your colours and your coil labels. Large Chinese pipe brands rarely take small private-label runs — their minimums are high, and customising a foreign distributor's artwork is low on their list. A mid-sized export factory works the other way round: branded, flexible-batch production is exactly what it is built for. Here is what a real OEM / private-label programme with a Chinese PEX-AL-PEX factory covers, and where the minimums actually sit.
What can carry your brand
Almost every visible element of the finished coil or fitting can be yours:
- Marking on the pipe wall — your logo and specs printed or embossed along the pipe (typically every 1 m), so the brand is readable on site long after the packaging is gone.
- Colour — the standard white / red / orange underfloor colours plus custom outer-layer colours for a defined minimum run, letting your product line sit neatly beside your other SKUs on the shelf.
- Coil length & packing — 100 / 200 / 500 m coils, printed brand labels, barcodes, and branded cartons or shrink wrap.
- Insulation (the Central-Asia staple) — add an EPE / foam thermal jacket or a pre-insulated construction to the pipe. For underfloor runs, risers and any district-heating or unheated-space routing, insulation cuts heat loss and prevents condensation; in cold, continental-climate markets it is often expected rather than optional, so we treat it as a first-class option, not an afterthought.
The same private-label logic runs across the rest of the underfloor kit: PE-RT / EVOH oxygen-barrier pipe, brass compression and press fittings, and distribution manifolds. Because these come from one supplier, a distributor can put a single brand over the whole “pipe + manifold + fittings (+ insulation)” kit instead of stitching three suppliers together.
Where the minimums actually sit
| OEM element | Typical minimum | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Plain OEM coil, standard colour, your pipe marking | from ~10,000 m per SKU | The realistic floor for a mid-size export factory; big brands set this far higher |
| Custom outer-layer colour | from ~10,000 m (dedicated batch) | Needs its own raw-material run, so it is batched per colour |
| Printed brand labels / barcodes / cartons | from ~10,000 m; artwork on your side | Approve a sample first to lock colour fastness and the print |
| Pipe + insulation (EPE / foam) | batched with the pipe run | Specify wall thickness and jacket early — it changes the packing and the price |
| Fittings & manifolds under your brand | per-size minimum | Mixed pallets across sizes are usually easier to approve than one huge line |
How an OEM order runs
Five steps, in order: (1) you fix the spec — size, SDR/wall, oxygen-barrier class, colour, insulation, coil length; (2) the factory sends a marked sample and you approve colour fastness and the print; (3) artwork and packaging proofs are signed off; (4) you pay the deposit and the branded batch is produced and inspected per coil; (5) it ships on your agreed term — CPT Almaty / Tashkent or FOB Ningbo — with the paperwork your customs needs.
Brand, paperwork and EAC
A private-label order is still an export order into the EAEU, so the conformity documents do not disappear just because the pipe now says your name. Our range is supplied with EAC conformity certification across the product line; ask for the certificate or declaration and its number for the exact model you are ordering and check it in the register before you ship (see the EAC guide). Put the branding and the certification requirement into the same first message — the two decisions interact, and neither should be discovered late.
