Warranty and claims

These terms apply to commercial export orders of pipes and fittings. Where a contract or proforma invoice states otherwise, the contract prevails.

Last updated: 31 August 2026

1. Warranty period and scope

Pipe carries a 24-month manufacturing warranty from the date of shipment: under normal storage and use within the nominal pressure and temperature range (for example −40 °C to +90 °C for PEX-AL-PEX), the product is free from defects in material and workmanship. Fittings and manifolds carry 12 months. The period starts on the bill of lading date and is not extended by transit time; if the contract provides otherwise, the contract prevails. The warranty covers the material and manufacturing quality of the goods themselves.

2. Inspection and claim deadlines

The buyer shall complete quantity and visual inspection within 30 calendar days of arrival and raise any discoverable quality objection within 60 calendar days. Latent defects that only become apparent after installation and pressure testing must be claimed within six months of arrival or within the warranty period, whichever comes first. Quantity and visual claims raised after those deadlines may be rejected.

3. Evidence required for a claim

Please e-mail us: the contract or proforma invoice number, bill of lading and batch number, product specification with photos of the pipe printing, photos or video of the defect and of the overall goods, a count showing the proportion of defective units in the batch, installation and pressure-test records where relevant, and any independent laboratory report. Once the file is complete we give a preliminary technical opinion within three working days and a proposed resolution within ten working days.

4. Remedies: replacement, repair, refund

Where a defect is confirmed, we elect one of the following at our cost: (a) free replacement of the affected goods with conforming product in the next shipment; (b) a price allowance proportional to the defective units; or (c) refund of the amount paid for the confirmed defective portion. Refunds are made in the currency received, back through the original payment channel, normally within 15 working days after both sides agree the resolution. Replacement goods carry a fresh warranty period running from their own shipment date.

5. When returns apply and how

Most of our goods are made to order, cut to metre length and printed to specification, so we do not accept no-reason returns. Return with refund is available only where: (a) we shipped the wrong specification, colour, printing or coil length; (b) transit damage or a quality defect is established at acceptance; or (c) the contract expressly provides for it. To return goods, first request our written authorisation and receive a Return Merchandise Authorisation number (RMA), then send the goods in their original packaging to our nominated location within 30 calendar days of that RMA. Unauthorised returns are not accepted. After incoming inspection confirms the goods are unused, uninstalled and resaleable, the refund follows section 4.

6. Freight, inspection and cost allocation

Where the cause is our shipping error or a quality defect, we bear the return freight, the re-delivery freight and reasonable third-party inspection costs. Where the cause is on the buyer's side (wrong ordered specification, incomplete customs documentation, refusal to accept, or a missed quantity/visual deadline), the buyer bears return freight, storage, demurrage and inspection costs. Risk of loss or damage to returned goods remains with the buyer until our warehouse signs them in; we recommend insuring the return leg and keeping the policy number.

7. Exclusions

The warranty does not cover: operation beyond the nominal temperature, pressure or media chemical compatibility; installation outside the specification (bend radius too small, direct contact with sharp objects or aggregate, backfilling without pressure testing, mismatched pressing tools and jaws); use of non-matched or expired-service fittings; man-made damage, force majeure, fire or freeze events, and third-party modification; and consequences of the buyer's own rework, mixing of reels or storage contrary to our written guidance. We are not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit or costs of works stoppage; our aggregate liability is limited to the amount received for the batch concerned.

8. Contact and dispute resolution

For claims, technical questions and spare parts, write to sanlipipe@163.com or WhatsApp +86 150 6880 2744, quoting the contract number and "Warranty" in the subject. The parties will first attempt amicable resolution; failing that, disputes are handled as provided in the contract (absent such a clause, by the CIETAC Zhejiang Sub-Commission under its then-effective rules, in English or Chinese). These terms do not affect any non-excludable buyer rights under applicable law.
